One well-worn 1971-D Ike...

I bought this at the B&M the other day, mainly because I was hoping it was an FEV, and couldn't tell in the lighting @ the B&M. I'm pretty sure it isn't (Ike guys- correct me if I'm wrong). I don't think I've ever seen an Ike in this low of a grade before in-hand. Enjoy!

    my inexperienced eyes are looking solely at earth and saying it is not a FEV

    Yeah, my thoughts too... still a neat coin. Most of the really worn ones I've seen were pocket pieces. This one actually looks like it circulated for at least some of the wear (but probably spent some time in a pocket before or after that).

  • These sure take a while to wear down. I've carried one as a pocket piece for 3-4 years and it's not much different than when I started carrying it.
