As a collector, do you remove the lot number

... and/or inventory control labels from your HA or SBG newps? Why or why not?

Interesting......I also collect ancient artifacts (pre columbian, etc). With artifacts, especially ancient Native American items, it's generally best to LEAVE ON all tags, stickers, and archaeological cataloguing numbers.
The old auction stickers, etc, help to trace the history or provenance of these items. Most arrowheads have writing on them, and this does not detract from the value. I was told to never take these off.
(I do take stickers off my coin slabs though)
