    Chinese

    1927

    Commemorating April 17th.

  • Thank you so much. Does it have a name?

  • It is a one dollar(Yuan) piece with General Chu Yu-pu bust. If real, according to 2007 Krause it is worth $6500 in xf.

  • I do not know anything about it. I weighted it
and that was the weight it showed. It was bought as a dollar.
I do not know nothing much , but the info given. Thanks to all who answered my question.

Could the weight differential possibly indicate counterfeit?
I'm just guessing here, but a valuable piece like that ($5000-VF, 2007 Krause) would sure be a good project for the moonlight mints in China.

    btw, what's a cooper coin?

So this one that you own in the picture weighs 26.7 grams?

Did you check Heritage or Stacks or Goldbergs to look for a possible copper pattern?

  • No I did not see any examples on this particular coin. I seen a Yuan Shih Kai Copper
that sold for $50,000+ I have that one. I never seen this coin before so I had to ask the experts first.
And the listings for sold items or current auctions on ha.com never has the dimensions of the
coin or weight of the coin listing in the description area. I seen copper patterns sell for high premiums in China and Singapore
I googled and not one coin showed up. I am not sure whether
it is real are not. I guess I will have to take a chance and submit it and let PCGS or NGC authenticate it. Thanks to all who have
    helped me so far.

You might consider calling Heritage first- request to speak with their Chinese coin expert- see what they think and email pictures

all the others who have replied so far. Thank you
for the expert advice. I executed it as you instructed.
