Stupid paypal question

I can't find the answer to this...and I feel really stupid asking,
But does paypal cover the buyer in private transactions (regular paypal, not gift) in instances like the BST here?
Just getting paranoid with all the fake slabs and stuff out there, and I've been curious about this for a long time.

Paypal is moving forward faster than the rest of the world in being very reasonable in disputes. Follow their rules, explain things in layman's terms, and you'll get good service from them at a very reasonable price. --Jerry
