I am (edit: no longer) chomping at the bit for some FUN newps

I was the underbidder for a "splash coin" (to adapt a Tomlinism to coins), the 1818 $5 in 55, so now I have some lesser coins (no "splash coins") on the Heritage bid and track list. Mostly, I am waiting for my favorite dealers to show me what they brought back.

Anyone else in the same boat?

My one target, it is actually a MPD FS-301 that will look mighty fine in a PCGS XF40 holder.

Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

My bad. I misread your thread title. I thought you wrote you wanted to see some FUN NAPS, not FUN NEWPS...........anyways, this dealer had a monster nap during early bird on Weds.

Well, the dealer who purchased the 1818 $5 is a friend and learned that I was looking to buy it from reading this forum and made me an offer that I could not refuse. Therefore, not only am I no longer chomping, I do not believe that I have any teeth left. image

Wow, that's great. Looking forward to seeing the pictures, that's a tough type, especially in a non-1813. I'm collecting vicariously through you and a few others, thanks for the thrill image

Cool, we will have to do show-and-tell at the next local show. Better yet, at one of our offices late next week. image
