How long before new varieties from the "CPG Vol. 2, 5th Edition" varieties are accepted fo

Based upon my recent acquisition of a couple of 1966 DDO-007's which are newly listed in the new Cherrypicker's Guide, Vol. 2, 5th Edition, I am curious as to how long it will be before PCGS recognizes these coins for attribution?
The PCGS Varieties page currently indicates: Fivaz-Stanton Varieties from the Cherrypickers Guide, Fourth Edition Vol. II and Fifth Edition Vol. I (see list for exclusions)
Thanks.

<< <i>Why dont they make the CPG in digital format so new coins can be listed immediately instead of waiting years for a new book? >>
Personally, I'd like a cross refeence to the CONECA photographs for the CPG Varieties.
It would certainly minimize the "DDO Minor Vaiety" slabs.

In one of the "Out-of-Print" books produced by James Wiles and CONECA.
The 1998 Kennedy Half Dollar Book, An Attribution and Variety Guide, is what I use but hundreds of varieties have been added since then. The book is available to check out from the ANA Library but other than that, you just have to keep your eyes open. They do come up occasionally on eBay.
The problem with the CPG is that they only choose two photo's for the variety and given publication glitches, the photo's may or may not be correct. At the very minimum, the photo's do nothing more than point you in a general direction as the die varieties can be very similar in the specific photographic area. It's up to you to either do the research or pay to have CONECA do it at $4 er coin (member price) or $5 per coin (non-member price).
Or you could take your best shot, send it to PCGS at $24 plus Modern Grading fee's and hope they agree with your assessment. I prefer the CONECA route as I spend more for CPG varieties but I save $19 on those that I misattribute.

Variety Vista is a Web Page that James Wiles started specifically to showcase the CONECA Varieties. As far as I know, James has always been the primary CONECA Attributer and took over the CONECA Listing a copuple of years ago for inclusion on his site. They are, after all, his attributions that he owns.
Upon my recommendation, join CONECA Here. The link on the left titled Variety Master Listings, takes you here to Variety Vista.

Lee,
You are a little behind the times........ Last year, Dr. Wiles increased his price for attributing Kennedy and Ikes now they are $7 for members and $8 for none members. It sounds like discrimination against Kennedy and Ike collectors
But at least with Wiles through CONECA, it won't say "minor variety" on the label, he will either tell you which die it is or tell you it is "too minor to list" and the price is better then $24 that our host charges plus the postage is more realistic.
