No pics yet but I arrived and got to have lunch with TwoKopecki and talked coins. We checked in for early
Bird passes and started making the rounds. I dropped off two submissions to the other company and then some shopping. Mreureka had a couple of GB sixpences i needed and the guys at NEN gave me a deal on the 1729 proof Geo. II halfpenny, so i am off to a good start.
Word of warning, NYC now charges sales tax on coins so I could not pick up the lot I won in the cng auction, and any other items i buy i am having shipped home to avoid it. It does look pretty busy for the first day.
Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow with the group, and meeting at andys table at 1 for those that can't make breakfast.

By the way, several of the subway lines are undergoing some sort of maintenance. If you plan to take a ride, check the MTA website. I was going to use the E line later in the day, but after accessing the MTA, I saw that the Shuttle may be the better bet to get to Times Square.

Nice that y'all can get together. I haven't done a national show since the spring of '07, and ANY show since January of '08.
It's been too long.
