Online resource for Netherlands gold ducats?

I really like the designs on these, especially the more life-like/less cartoony looking ones with the knights in their medieval armour from the 18th century. But I know nothing about them. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Came across some German States ones from the mid 19th century too that are pretty appealing as well!

I am not sure of a resource, but a few years ago when I was in Utrecht, pre Euro time, I trapsed through the Dutch mint there. It must have been a slow day, and the Dutch being the Dutch - the mintmaster came out and noticed I was the only one in the museum. He asked me if I wanted the "not busy day" tour, like he had to ask. So I got to go into the minting area, checked out dies etc and at the end he gave me a book on Dutch ducats since I told him I collected them. I still have a couple of special guilders that I got to strike.

There's lot of info on golden/silver ducats, unfortunately almost everything is written in Dutch image

Besides the aforementioned reference, which was given as a gift when the 1986 ducat was purchased, the information is scattered. The booklet gives a general overview, which is easily found elsewhere. It's still an interesting read, for those new to the series. The literature situation unfortunately has been the situation for some time (about four decades), although in the last few years a number of new references have been published, mostly dealing with selected provinces, and two general price/reference guides.

Needless to say most of the references are in Dutch, which is to be expected. Luckily enough, however, there is one reference which might suit your needs. This is Delmonte, The Golden Benelux, or Le Benelux d'o, published in the 1960s. The good news is that the book contains the information in three languages, Dutch, French and English. The bad news is that it is out of print and like its companion on silver coins, will cost you close to $300, IF you're able to locate it.

Let me know if you need any specific information on any of these coins. I'm a native Dutch speaker and have the majority of references on Dutch provincial coinage, including those that include information on gold ducats. I should be able to answer most of your questions.
