This is a good time to remind us that we all have an opportunity to make some friendships through our mutual interests, as this hobby presents. My sincerest sympathies to his Family and other loved one's . R.I. P. Eric .

I can never forget the stories he told me of life in Bandon, Ore. Long ago, a terrible wind storm struck his area at hurricane strength. The roof of his house flipped off and landed in the Pacific Ocean. Last he saw of his roof, it was headed toward CA. We always used to to laugh about it saying there was an "Eric Roof Sighting" near the Panama Canal. Goodness, that was funny. A big loss.
It's always sad to lose someone, but especially so at the holidays. I didn't know BigE on a personal level but he was certainly a prolific poster here whose posts were enjoyed by many. RIP.
<< <i>Rest in Peace, Eric. I knew you from your posts and a few memorable PM's I just re-read! God Bless his family.

Do your best to avoid circular arguments, as it will help you reason better, because better reasoning is often a result of avoiding circular arguments.
Sad to see his passing. I guess one positive thing is him living longer than expected. When one's life is reduced to counting the days, every extra day is precious for him and the family.
What a shock. It was just last week that I was thinking about getting back in touch on my trip down the coast this summer. My condolences to his wife and family.
I'm sorry to hear this. His were posts that I did not skip over. I remember when his house took some tree damage during a hurricane and his positive attitude in the face of irony.
I really need to check the message boards more often.
Out of the blue I thought of him today and called to let him know I'd be up in his area after summer, and I just found out from his wife that he's already been gone over a year. I feel about an inch tall.
She said she's got their business back up and running, and she chuckled when I asked about whether Eric got the settlement he wanted from the highway department (that was our last conversation about 8 or 9 years ago).
Very sad news! Eric sold me a 1981 Type 2 SBA dollar which completed my first registry set. I was a newbie and he was a consummate professional. Over the years he sold me a few more "Big E Pedigree" coins and I was always impressed. Peace too his family, Mark

No need to feel an inch tall. I'm sure his widow was honored that you kept him in mind.
My condolences to the family...God Bless their family in this time of grieving and pain...
