How long do you wait to re-sub a card?

If you have a somewhat rare or high profile card that you think may be undergraded, how long do you wait before you re-sub it? Do you need to wait for a while as it may go right back into the grader's hands that just saw it a week ago?

The card in question is the '58 Pancho Herrer from this thread.

I think someone else said it, but with a card of that value, a review might be the better option.

If it was me, and I felt really strongly that it was under graded, I'd email Joe
and ask him if I could send the card to him for his look see. He has done this in the past.
Most recently with a Fleer Jordan Rookie. However, that one was still at PSA IIRC.

That would be my first move.

My second would be the review process.

After that I'd crack and resubmit.

    Good luck.

    Good for you.

I did this one time, one time in 8+ years as a PSA member and submitter. I called PSA and asked if a card that was just graded and still at PSA could be looked at real quick because it was a crack & resub that went down 2 full grades. I was talked down to by the customer service agent I spoke with and treated like an idiot and a child. I even asked the person I spoke with whether the conversation was being recorded because of how she was talking to me (she said it was, it turns out it wasn't). In the end, nothing good happened for me or for PSA. So, take that for what you will, your experience may be different.
  • Crack is a drug, and a good drug for those of us who like to resubmit.
    Do it early and often.
But don't send it in right away. Wait about three or more weeks.

This card should have been handled by a high profile dealer from the get go. should have let him submit it, then let him auction it off or sell it privately. I can tell you senior graders already looked at this card and you'll be lucky to get any kind of bump. they see something that the scan isn't showing. mushy corners, some PDF, something

With all due respect you spoke to a rep, my advice was to email Joe.

    Good for you.

Contact Joe....but honestly the best grade is a 6.5....top left corner keeps it from a 7

Yes, I understand that. Not everyone may be able to get in touch with Joe when necessary or Joe may not be available, so I thought I would share my experience, which was quite different from yours. It's great that Joe was able to help you and other people out in this type of situation in the past, but not all of us are as fortunate to have such positive experiences with PSA.
