Hockey collectors - 1971-1981

Bought another small collection. Going though the cards to see what is gradable. I purchased mainly for the 1971 and 1972 OPC cards but i have alot of 1974 1975 and 1976 OPC cards that look like they should be submitted.
Question is should i send in all gradable cards that i feel are high grade and centered or should i look at the pop reports for these years? Mainly the 1974 1975 and 1976 years.
By the time i'm done going through the cards i'm going to have around 500+ cards from various years but i just don't want to send in cards that even if they get a PSA 9 i can't even get my money back. There really is not enough selling on e-bay to go by. Most people have rediculous buy it now's. I prefer to start auction from 99 cents to 9.99 for opening bids. If i cannot get at least opening bid at say 9.99 then it's not worth me doing it.
When i get close to having cards ready to send in to PSA i will ask for a discount but still there are e-bay and paypal fees as well. So should i bother with these years or just go by the pop reports for these years?

I would grade any and all rookie cards from those years that would grade PSA 8 or better. I am watching an off center 1974 Denis Potvin PSA 8 rc sell for over $600 with almost an hour left. Most rookies will sell well in PSA 8 or better and hall of famers will do very well. As a side, centering on 1974 is all over the place and very hard to find truly centered cards. Rookies of Steve Shutt, Denis Potvin, Don Cherry, Scotty Bowman, Lanny MacDonald, Borje Salming and Bob Gainey always sell very well in PSA 8 or higher. Those are all just from 74.

1975 Clarke Gillies RC does well
1976 Brian Trottier RC again does well too.

You can also do well with cards of Bobby Orr, Ken Dryden etc too.

There is money to be made in 70s hockey (O-pee-chee not Topps)

If any of them are autographed, I may be interested!
