Ok PSA Please Help Me Understand This!

Morning,
So I renew my Gold Subscription for a year, end of Dec. Expect my Voucher for 6 cards valued at $15 per card to arrive any day now. Don't really have any $300-$500 cards that I would like to sub right now. Then I remember some Exhibit Supply cards it would be nice to have slabbed. So check and of course T-3's and Large cards are exempt from the Free sub voucher. I then check and one of this months Specials # 3 is $14 per card 5 day turnaround and it Does allow T-3's and Super sized cards.
So called Customer service to make sure that this wouldn't be a problem, figure I just send in my 6 Exhibits with my voucher, (Don't expect any credit for the extra dollar left X 6), will pay All return shipping myself. Customer Service tells me I can't do this, when asked why get a classic customer service answer: "Because that's the way we always do it!"
So exactly when does a Supposed Credit Voucher of $90 dollars not become allowable for a Sub of $84.00 for the same 5 day service, with nothing expected in return?
Any explanation other than "That's the way we do it" would be Greatly appreciated.
Thanks

It's a semantic point, but here's the deal. Your didn't get a $90 voucher - you got a voucher for 6 free submissions. Those submissions are limited to certain criteria. It has no cash value.
For example, if you submit a card on your free voucher and it gets an EOT, they will send you a voucher for another free sub. Now here's the rub - you can't use that voucher to add a card to a regular CC special sub!!! It would have to go on a a separate sub under the free voucher rules. You could mail it in together, but it would have to ship back separately.
IOW - choose the cards you sub on your membership voucher VERY carefully.

Thanks

they must be special. I've asked basically the same thing as you in the past and been denied.

I have never had Exhibits considered super sized cards. subbed over 150 the past year and never had an issue. something like the 67' topps posters are considered super sized.
Exhibits need the larger holder, but are not considered oversized in the vein of Turkey Reds and the like... Asking CS and assuming they know the difference leaves you with the response that you received. So, if you sub your Exhibits under the Voucher, they'll be treated just like a '65 Tall Boy...
I've learned that if you know the answer, but ask someone that may not know the answer to clarify, you'll most often end up with the wrong answer. 25 years of marriage has taught me such!!!
