Stolen Photos from David Lawrence

.... Actual coin is pictured and this is the rarest morgan in the series. I have not come across many of these and this is your chance to finish a set or own a rare coin. I bought this in an estate sale

Edit: I do realize that the 85-S isn't a key date like he says, and that the pictured coin is actually a proof. I'm just curious if it is not ok to use an auction websites pictures, if you do actually own the coin.
Thanks.
Besides which, David Lawrence shows the coins are still for sale and are not in plastic bags.

To answer your question, Dan, no, it is not okay to use the images without permission.
Lance.
Seriously though, it wasn't clear to me that I couldn't use HA's pics in my auction. I own the coin, but I see the argument that it doesn't entitle me to own a picture of the coin, or use the picture for another sale. I can't find it spelled out anywhere on their site, and they don't put a watermark or anything like that on their pictures. Maybe it's just common sense, and I don't have enough of it.

Fair enough.
Nonsense, that might only apply if you did not ask the question!

Thanks Eric. I try to be an honest person and live my life the right way. For some reason I had assumed that ownership of a coin meant ownership of pictures of that coin. Comments here made me think otherwise so I wanted to clear it up. It looks like you're in a business involved with coin photography, so thank you for your input.

ABSOLUTELY! This is why I do not post images from my collections to ocean liner sites or other areas of interest.
