This book is a favorite of mine:
Ancient History from Coins
last coin book I read: Early Japanese Coins
Next one to read: The Japanese Imperial Mint
Next Non-Fiction Read (Sherry: The Noble Wine)
I'm pretty sure my fiction tastes will NOT appeal to forum members I have the musical tastes of a teenage boy, the movie tastes of a 10 year old, and the reading tastes that vary between that of a goth college student that of a middle aged housewife. I drive like a guy in midlife crisis (we won't talk about my hobby demographic...). Much to the chagrin of my visiting relatives I cannot carry on a conversation about any 'important modern literature'. Work is too real life, I like escapism .
edited to add: sorry, those are Amazon links, I should have used B&N.

Waiting for Godot is among the rare plays that IMHO are an essential read, preferably before going to watch Vladimir and Estragon in this classic Samuel Beckett absurdist play.
The tipping point:How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference is yet another recent classic and an absolute must read from the past decade's top ten.

<< <i>Thanks for the responses. I should have been more clear. I was aiming at numismatic literature. I may end up purchasing a copy of Davenport's German Secular Thalers. >>
Yes you should have. You can opt for the hardcover (or the paperback) Prospero Collection catalogue from Baldwin's, but your Barnes and Noble gift voucher won't be of much help there.
