that the NFL played again on New Year's (Sunday) rather than defer to Bowl games, Winter Classic...even the RB Parade?
it's been done in the past, yet i'd really just rather nurse a hangover with tradition
i suppose it doesn't really matter as far as TV $$ is concerned?? and it just extends the Holiday football season?

The NCAA waived bye-bye to tradition a long time ago in favor of the almighty dollar.
Having to wait until January 9 for a national champion to be crowned is testament to that.

Thank you, I was going to post something like that. By the time the Championship game finally comes around, I just don't give a damn anymore.
I don't see how the college teams are supposed to stay sharp when they have so much time off from the regular season until the bowl games.
