Is this card OC enough to get a qualifier?

I know this card isn't centered 50/50, but is the centering bad enough to get an OC?

From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

I would say yes. It looks to have 80/20 centering with all other card attributes being mint.

If you don't want a qualifier crack it and HOPE for a PSA 8 on the resub.

I would be very disappointed if PSA slabbed that card in a straight PSA 8. Based upon centering, it is where it belongs and should not be in a straight grade higher than a PSA 7. A very sharp card, but the centering is just too far off...

I can definitely envision that card in a PSA 9 (OC) holder.
  • looks like an sgc 86

I would say it is closer to a BCCG 8 myself. image
  • I believe it belongs in that holder. It is a 9oc. If this were a 7 it would not have a qualifier, but you cannot have a PSA 9 with that centering.

Don't crack it. Why risk ruining the card. Just send it back for regrading with "NQ" on the submission form.
    HAPPY COLLECTING!!!

I don't think this card ends up in an 8 holder but if it gets sent in without cracking it will immediately end up in a PSA 7 holder.

The bottom line is the card is severely off centered and is not mint so if it were up to me I would leave it where it is.

I agree with you, it is a sharp looking card, but if I bought that card sight unseen as a PSA 8 I would probably send it back. I think 9 OC is the correct grade or a straight 7.

For the life of me, I can't see how that card is worse than 70/30, so it's borderline 8 on a good day. Definitely not a lock for an 8.

I think they got it right, but you might get lucky.

  • It's a great card but too far off center. The card appears to also tilt to the left more as you go from the bottom to the top. If you center the card in the holder you'll probably see the slant. IMO
