  • I guess that must be why people have suggested to cut it up.... as that Ruth signature alone could be worth that estimate, and then some of the others could bring good money too.

But it doesn't matter, as we are keeping in tact anyway.

Just saw that the Antiques Roadshow is in Boston in early June... so maybe we'll think about trying to go!

Glad I could share this with all of you, I'm happy people seem to be enjoying it as much as we are!

    For the record me too.

One thing for certain is that I now agree with the sentiment that cutting it up
would maximize it's retail value. Thank God the OP will not do that, but has that
option should the need arise. And if he doesn't do it at the least has the knowledge
    to use that in negotiations.

    Thanks again for sharing.

Bunker, I'd stop at 8k if it was before Moose's post 3k after it. image
    Good for you.

  • Yes, we're absolutely not cutting it up. The plan now is to photograph every single page (you all have seen the majority of them) and then put it away. I'm doing some research as to if there's anything special we need to do other than keeping it in a cool, dry, dark place... but it seems like there isn't.

And my son is excited about the idea of researching each of the signers and doing a blog or something to write up what we found... so that will be something we start in the near future.

Thanks again to all for your great information and advice!
