I left neutral feedback for a seller...

and he e-mails me an aggressive response. I bid in this seller's auction for a 2010 $10 gold eagle and won the coin. Seller used UPS Ground delivery and when it was delivered imagine my horror to find out that the coin came loose out of a plain white envelope and was sliding around inside of the ups shipping envelope. Maybe a neutral feedback is too harsh? But it really irks me when a seller is too lazy or cheap to ship a coin the right way. As a side note I went ahead and blocked this person in bidding in any of my auctions as a pre-emptive strike to avoid any problems in the future.

Was the coin unprotected or was it in a capsule or other holder? Regardless, this was clearly bad packing and I would certainly make the seller aware of it, even if the coin wasn't damaged. I would have probably deferred any feedback until I gauged his/her reaction to the improper packing issue. I would also look to see if the seller was primarily a 'coin only' seller, who arguably should know better, or a 'general seller' who may not have a lot of experience with packing coins or the sensitivity of buyers to improper packing issues.

Is he a professional coin dealer? If so, he should know better and deserves a neutral. Otherwise, a neutral is too harsh.

I apologize in advance if this is against forum rules. I don't know anything previous to my dealings with them but this is disturbing to say the least. I'll just chaulk it up to luck that I even got my coin.

Doesnt seem that bad. 14 out of 1400+ and some are positive neutrals.
