Any W513 Experts here?

Morning,

Trying to get some info on an Item I have had for awhile. For the Link Challenged..help would be appreciated!

My item: 350338872110

And the following items: 260923047089 & 205960995103

Many questions.

1. Are these from the same sheet?
2. If not are there different varities of these?
3. Anybody have a scan of a Complete sheet?
4. Although I don't like to contemplate this, are these worth cutting up and getting graded? Or is that only for the Sports stars?
5. Will PSA Grade/Encapsulate these as say a Tall Boy?
6. I have been in contact with the Seller of the other two strips about a package deal with mine. How many strips would we be from a full sheet? Would this be worth possibly consigning to Auction House as a Group?
7. ??

Thanks

Neil

  • I've had many of these strip cards. The 1928 W513 had different series. Actors, Actresses, Baseball playes and so on. I almost had the complete Baseball set at one time.

These were released in strips. What you have is 2 strips that were never cut. Nice Find.

PSA will grade them if you can cut them appart correctly...Good Luck.

I do not believe PSA makes a holder large enough to fit the entire card. I've seen people get a 2-3 card section Authenticated and Encased, but never an entire sheet.

I like the Lon Cheney and Fairbanks the best. I'm a big fan of the Silent Film Era.

  • My best advice is don't even think about cutting them. To get a grade you must cut them perfectly so their is black on the 2 sides. If the line is not straight you will receive a grade of Authentic.

Rows on a sheet, no idea.

My guess is they are not from the same sheet. You have 2 rows of actors. They have different subjects. I do know they were released by subject, are numbered in order on the strips.

Non baseball subjects usually don't sell real high from what I noticed. I would not send to auction houses, their fees will kill you. Just take the best offer on ebay.
