Probably around 5,000 to 6,000 this year. Give or take a few. ( NOT counting what i got at the bank).

Getting chips has been an interesting task. BUT since its in the infant stage and people who have large amounts were willing to sell this year. Landed me a nice big load + a few smaller lots of coins. I expect 2012 to be slower since this should ( I hope as i discover with everyone else) cover most of the modern examples. and will let me start focusing on the older coins. THEN again never know after all this there might be a whole bunch of CUDs cracks chips clips grease filled etc coins yet to be discovered or listed. So I expect next year to be slower but who really knows.

<< <i>A record low here. My records say four. It looks like I sold about 40.

My purchases amounted to about 13% of the funds generated by the sales. The sales netted an average 10.7% profit after expenses.

My wife thought coin collecting was an OK hobby this year. >>

    Nice summary. image

No coins ... four Central Bank of Ireland 1 Pound notes.

Total numismatic expenditure for the year was about $100.

Last numismatic purchase was on May 31.

    Excellent choices !!!!
Looks like you've got the tools for some excellent high-mag shots!
Still shooting film with that Minolta and Olympus?

And while I'm at it and back on topic:

5 sets 25th Anniversary sets ASE
And about 15 other pieces...Some buffalos, one CC Morgan, a bit of gold.
Sold much more though- mostly 90% commons (junk) though it's not junk to me image

A bunch of 90%, couldn't say off hand the total but over $60 face I believe. One cheap seated half. One slabbed frankie proof. Not counting the ASE sets or bullion stuff.
