Ebay buyer with plenty o holiday cheer

Had a buyer message me via Ebay Christmas Day, saw it this morning when I logged in. I knew I should have been checking my account all day yesterday, but I failed miserably. The buyer wanted to return a card he received on December 13th, guess he thought waiting til the 25th would speed the whole process up. Anyway, of course when I logged onto Ebay this morning not only did I see the buyers message but I also saw the buyer had already opened a case. Everybody else is closed for the holiday, but I guess all Ebay sellers must stay open for their customers.
From what I can tell, 707 is the DOLLAR STORE compared to deans_cards. For what that guy charges, if I ever bought anything from him I would expect it to be delivered to me in a frickin' limo.

  • So less than 24 hours after the initial message that they wanted a refund, they opened a case?!

If that's the case, jesus! Don't people have patience. Give the seller at least 2 business days to respond at a minimum.

People are just so stupid sometimes.

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

The buyer probably had it for sale from the 13th until the 25th, when it didn't sell, just return it and break even. Great way to boost inventory and profits. image

Usually 1 business day to respone is enough. Most sellers respond no problem. But you should wait at least 2 days before opening a case.

What is the buyers ebay name?

Keep in mind the original message from the buyer was sent on Christmas day, then on the 26th he opened the case. Again, I say I should have been a little more diligent and kept checking my Ebay messages Christmas day.

That is why 1 day is usually enough. Holiday's can change things a little.

The buyer should have waited at least 2 days to open the case.

I sell things on ebay also, so I understand where you are coming from.
