Opinions on a Maris Auto?

I bought a 1962 Topps League Leader #53 with Mantle and Maris with some other cards, and I noticed after the fact that there is some writing on the back that looks like a Maris signature. I am leaning towards "not authentic" because the "R" doesn't look right, but I figured I'd get some more opinions.

<< <i>Hard to say... I like the "Maris" a lot. The "R" in Roger is giving me some problems. It's similar, but not spot on - the slant is wrong, and it appears that the R was constructed in 2 parts. Here's an early 60's Maris signature for comparison. You can see that Maris' style evolved over time...
isn't that a rubber stamp?

Those were my initial thoughts as well. I looked at some team-signed balls from the late 1950s/early 1960s with Maris on them, and the signatures on those balls, including the "R," looked much better than the more "modern" Maris signatures in comparison with the card in question.
I guess there is a difference of opinion on here, as well. I'll probably wait for a special to find out for sure.
If anyone else has any opinions in the meantime, please fire away.
