Two minor discoveries that has made the hobby easier (for me)

These are not a big deal and most of you probably have known this for a long time, but I live in Cincinnati and we are always about a decade behind.
My first discovery happened when I ran out of the Graded Card Bags. I always put my graded cards in them to keep the slabs from getting all scratched up and I always mail graded cards in them to avoid tape getting stuck to the slab. I have always found the task annoying though because the little tear off strips always clung to me.
Anyway, I was out of them, but I had some of the Team Set Bags laying next to me and thought why not give it a try. I am glad that I did! Not only did they work, but I think they work better and look better, plus no more annoying little clingy strips. If you haven't used them before give it a try!
My second discovery occured this morning. I gave my daughter a laptop for xmas and earlier I was playing around with it. Like a lot of you guys I subscribe to VCP and I always complain when I have a stack of cards to get prices on because it takes me so long.
The time it took to go from one card to the other seemed like forever. So since her computer was new and faster, I tried VCP with hers. It was so much faster I that I could hardly beleive it! There was no delay at all! Even though her computer was new and faster than mine there had to be another reason.
I noticed that when I got on the internet with her laptop it used Google Chrome, where when I get on the internet I use the big blue "e". (I am not really sure what the big blue "e" is as I am not tech savy person)
I looked at my computer and noticed that I also had Google Chrome as an option and thought why not try it. I figured I had nothing to lose and a lot to gain if it worked. Well it did work and I logged on to VCP and my computer was almost as fast as hers!
I have literally wasted hours of my time checking cards on VCP using that stupid blue "e", but never again!
So there you have it, my two new discoveries that have enhanced my hobby experience. Like I said before us Cincinnatians are always behind the times, so if there are any other "tips" you guys want to share let me know!
Well it looks like the bricks are hot enough to bake my bread now so I will check back after I eat my breakfast!

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 2 (2003). My son was diagnosed with Type 1 when he was 17 on December 31, 2009. We were stunned that another child of ours had been diagnosed. Please, if you don't have a favorite charity, consider giving to the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation)

Any computer geeks have feedback on Google Chrome vs. Safari? I use Safari but also have FireFox on my machines.
BTW, I also hate the pull away strips from the graded card sleeves. They seem to cling to everything! That said I am to anal and don't like how the team sleeves don't close. I know hit me over the head with a few 2X4's to knock some sense into me.
My kids make fun of me because I still use aol, but I may look at the other options now that I know what I know.

Wow, I was using worse than a bag o'poo for a looong time! I feel good about your number one and I have to admit (with almost 4 hours of use under my belt) that I agree!

Thanks for the tip. Been using Chrome now for about 45 minutes and it "seems" a lot faster. Don't know how or why, but thanks!!

I am glad to hear that, by chance were you using number 5 on TNP777's list? I would really like to know if I was the lone big blue "e" user.

<< <i>It's sad that I'm using Microsoft's OS and I'm always having issues with IE. Actually, it was working fine and then I hit the upgrade button and all my favorite links from the top went away and it slows down like crazy. >>
Just because you are using "Microsoft's OS" doesn't mean you can't use a browser besides IE. Go get a different one - you'll be glad you did.

As far as the team set bags, you may have to go into more detail because I'm confused. I use team set bags all the time and mine have the "clingy strips" on them . Yes, they are very annoying! Are you saying that your do not have them? How do you close them - with tape?
