Non-secret Santa card surprises?

I didn't participate in the secret Santa but my wife and kids gave me a few surprises this year, thanks to bbce.

I ended up with a 81 donruss baseball wax box, 78 baseball rack pack, and a 75 mini wax pack. First time I've ever received cards for Christmas.

They've all been ripped and I will try to get scans tonight or tomorrow. 78s were nice, 75s not so much. 81 donruss had gem packs and garbage packs. Must have been a mixed box.

Had a great time ripping these.

Each of my kids got a wax box that they had input on but I made the final decision so it was sort of a surprise.

My older son got 2009 UD Goudey; didn't fare to well with a Bill Hall jersey and a Kila Ka'ahuie autograph, but he got some good inserts and he likes the 2009 UD 20th Anniversary set, and there were many of those in there.

My younger son got 2009-10 UD Basketball; he pulled a Pat Riley autograph, a Larry Bird/Ray Allen dual jersey card, and SP rookies of Ricky Rubio and Blake Griffin. Blake Griffin is one of his favorite players, so he was happy.

Great griffin pull, esp on of his favorites. I gave my wife a list, but they didn't reel in the 87 fleer basketball case.

We had a little "dirty Santa" at the in-laws tonight and I walked away with an 89 proset football and 89 hoops I wax box. There aren't too many card enthusiasts at the in-laws so once I took the boxes from someone, I didn't have much competition with someone wanting them back.

I got $225.00 in Ebay gift cards so I am going to be looking around for some cards.
