Good card shop alert- Cincinnati area (Florence, KY)

I come up here a few times a year to visit my father. We will go to Reds games in the summer and Christmas etc.

Anyway, I swing by a place called Planet Collectibles each year and he always has alot of great items.(PSA graded, vintage in low grade to mid grade, wax, memorabilia etc.).

He has a wide selection.

Well, I picked up a Joey Votto Bowman Sterling Rookie Jersey Auto and Ken Griffey Jr. UD autograph for 85.00 total. Well 88.00 because I picked up a Jose Canseco 1986 Fleer too.

As a Reds fan, I was suprised to buy something a little below ebay prices of those two players.

We bought the twins some stocking stuffers (topps chrome FB packs and Topps BB packs) as well but the main thing I wanted to pass along is there is a good shop in the Cincy area that will work with you on price and has selection.
** Working on the following sets-2013 Spectra Football Hall of Fame 50th Anniversary Autograph set, 2015 Spectra Football Illustrious Legends Autograph set, 2014-15 Hall of Fame Heroes autograph set. **

Small world...that's where I go to get all of my supplies.

I was there just a few days ago looking at 1958 Topps baseball cards, and the owner was talking on the phone with someone named "Tom". He was telling him something about a piece of the old Riverfront Stadium dugout that he had.

A few minutes after he had hung up, the "Tom" he was talking to walked into the shop...it was Tom Browning. The owner got him to sign the dugout piece and chatted with him for a few minutes before he left.

I thought it was pretty cool to see an ex-player like that!

Haven't been to that store in a while but have to agree that it is a well ran shop.

I live around Reading, PA so York is not all that far away. Is this place located in a flea market or a retail store? Does he have much graded items or mostly raw?

    Thanks,

    Jeff

He has a stand in Morningstar Market in Thomasville, PA. Its right off of Rt. 30. He has 2 big glass cases of nothing but baseball and 2 cases of football. Then he has a bunch of boxes on the counter and what not. Mostly raw, every now and then he has graded but only if he buys it already graded. But he usually has an excellent selection of cards. I have sent many cards ive gotten from him in to get graded and never had any problems. I know right now he has a raw Ernie Banks rookie for $500. It would probably grade around a 4. Thats just one example. He is also in the process of selling an entire 1962 set individually, and i know he still has the mantle and maris for sale. I suggest you go check it out. He will also budge a little bit on his listed prices so make him offers.

no problem. He is very nice and easy to work with on prices. He also will do a lot with trading rather than cash. Dont hesitate to ask me anything else about this place. Ive been going there for a couple years now.
