In my experience, comparing raw cards, Mirror Golds carry the highest premium. Comparing gem mint PSA graded cards, the PSA 10 label has a greater influence on '93 Finest Refractors. Gem Mint copies of Mirror Golds don't tend to sell for much of a premium over their raw counterparts. This is partially due to the much more limited print run of Mirror Gold, with the mindset that any copy is a good copy when they're impossible to find. It's also do to the popularity of the Registry for '93 Refractors...the higher print run means that more than just a few individuals have a realistic opportunity of competing for the tops spot, thus greater demand.
Well Mirror Gold beat refractors in terms of scarcity (30 vs. 241), but refractors are much better looking and carry a far greater legacy; the are THE set of the 1990s and is the second most expensive post WWII set (1952 Topps being first). I'm not sure if it's even realistically possible to make a set of Mirror Golds.
I would not consider myself a novice, so I don't mind asking this - what the heck is Mirror Golds? I have never even heard of them. I was out of collecting in the 90's.
