    A fancy holder like that was not cheap to make so it probably housed a real 1804 dollar in the pre-slab era.

    Well, yes, I would say it was a dream job however I didn't walk away from it. A victim of the Stacks/Bowers and Merena merge last year.

    By the way, I have the other aluminum screw for that holder.

    CoinPhotog, Was the holder cleaned or if you scratch and sniff the edge of the hole can you still smell the 1804 $1 image

    After 20 years working in the coin business, I know not to clean a thing. Original scent with some tones of awe still intact.

    I agree.

    That's a neat holder, but I would never see anything but that stupid mistake.
