Olympic Style Birthday Present

Wanted to share a story about a birthday present I gave to my son today:
My wife works for Special Olympics Rhode Island, and a few weeks ago they had their annual TV auction. My son saw one item he thought was unique: a swim cap autographed by Elizabeth Beisel that was used in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and donated by the Beisel family (her mother works with the swim program for SORI).
For anyone who hasn't heard of Elizabeth Beisel, she is one of the greatest athletes to come out of Rhode Island in recent history. She is a world class swimmer who is currently competing for the University of Florida. She was the youngest member of the US swim team in Beijing at 15 years old, where she finished 4th and 5th in two events, and she has won three gold medals and one bronze in international competition.
Secretly, I bid on and won the item, and he opened it this morning. It doesn't come with official paperwork, but we know the provenance, and since he doesn't plan on selling it, it doesn't really matter.

If that is something that your son really likes, that's GREAT that you were able to win it for him. Hope he enjoys his early Christmas present!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Mike, please forgive the old people on the board. They get their occasions mixed up from time to time. I'll help set the record straight.
That is a great BIRTHDAY present!!!
