Special Offer From Sterling Sports Auctions

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to post and let you know about a special holiday offer from Sterling Sports Auctions. Our 600 lot monthly auction ends Thursday December 29, and as a thank you to those who participate, anyone placing a bid will be entered to win a $50 gift certificate to be used in a future auction. This offer applies to all bidders, so new registrations are welcome in order to qualify for this offer.

Here is a copy of the PSA press release:

Sterling Sports Auctions is pleased to present 600 lots in their monthly auction ending Thursday December 29. The auction features a wide variety of items encompassing sets from the 19th century to the present in all sports and presents an opportunity to acquire individual cards, group lots, and complete sets. Highlighted by 1953 and 1954 Topps baseball sets in EX-MT to NM condition, the auction also includes an iconic 1888 Goodwin Champions N162 Beecher SGC 30, a presentable 1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel Ty Cobb SGC 40, a sharp 1909-11 T206 Cy Young SGC 60, and a clean 1933 Goudey #53 Babe Ruth PSA 2 as well as numerous other stars and Hall of Famers. Runs of high grade commons from several Bowman and Topps sets make the auction a great stop for set collectors. For the memorabilia inclined collector, fantastic lots of World Series programs from the New York Yankees and Brooklyn Dodgers contests of the 1940s and 1950s along with a Joe Louis signed and authenticated scorecard round out the monthly offering. New registrations are welcomed by visiting www.SterlingSportsAuctions.com or calling 845-849-1276.

Very generous. I have bid in the past and won and had great service. Now, if only you could get more Hockey into your auction I would bid again.

Mathew ... there are 4 hockey lots in the current auction.

I will agree with Mathew about these auctions. I too have bid and won in the past and the service was first rate!
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Mathew, I'm always looking for more hockey cards so I'll be sure to keep you posted. As Doug pointed out, there are a few hockey lots, but they may not be what you're looking for.

Which brings me to my next point...I've received a few questions about qualifying for the offer...anyone who places a bid is qualified...you do not need to be a winner at the end of the auction. So, you can place a bid (increments are $2 under $50) on an item that you know will go for more just so you qualify. There are several mid grade Mantles that are still <$50 at this time. It's early in the auction and there are lots of opportunities to get qualified.

    Thanks,

    Brian

The auction closes this Thursday, so I wanted to give this thread a final bump. There's still time to bid and qualify for the $50 gift certificate. Thanks to those who have bid and good luck!

  • Any 51 Bowman baseball?
  • Thanks Mike--those two sets haven't seen the light of day in 30 years and are both really nice.

As for 1951 Bowman, there are 17 PSA 8s, 3 SGC 96s, 2 lesser graded stars, and 2 football PSA 8s of Lujack and Fears.

Auction ends tomorrow...still plenty of time.
