Need some help and opinions on this Issue

I got this mint Mike Tyson in the mail yesterday and was quite pleased with it. Like always I take it from the seller from Cyprus's packaging straight to a card saver.

When I got home last night I was examining it under a light and saw a little black thing of some kind over the card so I removed it gently and put it back in the card saver.

Much to my surprise and disappointment some how I left a thumb print on the sticker. I have read that people handle cards with rubber gloves on and I have never done that nor have I ever had something like this happen.

Needless to say I was quite upset about this. I thought about possible remedies and so when I woke up this morning I got a cutip and got one end wet and left the other dry. I gently rubbed the wet end on the thumb print and a little bit came off.

Has anyone ever had anything like this happened and what have you done to try and remove the issue?

If this was graded how many notches lower would one expect due to the surface damage?

Any thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated.

I don't know if water will do it, since it's probably oils from your finger that left the fingerprint. I would say try the q-tip again with a tiny bit of rubbing alcohol, but I have NO IDEA if that is a good idea or not or if it would mess up the sticker.

Usually a soft cloth can remove a finger print. At least on some of the modern glossy cards.

I do not know how it would affect the grade.

I just used a soft cloth and I think I made it worse.

I am afraid I may just be s out of luck on this one.
