Did anyone else see the 74-S Ike in MS69 go from 3 to 4???

I had not seen or heard this.

Anyone know who made it or owns it?

I have a print out of my collection dated 1/8/11 showing the pop at 4 then. Did it drop to 3 for a while?

I thought it was at 3 all along, but maybe it has been at 4.

The 73-S was 4 then dropped to 2 (I owned 3 of the 4 coins, but 2 were proofs mislabled as MS and PCGS of course removed them). I made one in 69, and it bumped to 3.

At the time I thought the 74-S was at 3, that's why when I saw 4 recently, I thought it was up one from previous reports.

    I could be wrong.

Maybe it's a really a Silver proof with a labeling error?
I seem to remember that happening before and setting off Jame's alarm bells! image

It is 3.....the + was showing as finer.

    Whew!!!

The 68+ coin is nice. One of my customers made it. Not a 69, but certainly nice.
