    Wouldn't a bezel for a half sovereign fit for the farthing? I mention that because during WWI the BRM blackened farthings to keep them from being passed off as half sovereigns.

    Half sovs are 19mm and the farthing 20mm , just enough to ensure it rattles.Theres that and the half sov bezel would be gold making the colour clash with a bronze farthing.I don't think ive ever seen a bezel for a farthing though.

    I found one listed here.

    I ordered a gold filled one. Silver would probably look worse with a red farthing.
