A Class Act Hobbist (Richard Caan)

I would like to throw out a big Thanks to board member "Cardbender" Richard Caan
I have bought, sold and traded multiple times with Rich. We both seem to have the same old school collecting philosophy.
He helped me with many nice cards for my collecting needs and I like to think Ive help him along the way with a few nice items as well.
In our many deals the focus always seemed to be more about the cards than anything else and always escalated into seventies football
stories and collecting tales from our youth.
A few monthes ago Rich cut me a very nice deal on some 69 Topps Football cards I needed for my set. As usual he sent the cards before recieving payment
and trusted that my payment would cross in the mail, which it did. Another fine deal completed!
Rich contacted me later to say that I had over paid him $15, which to me the cards were worth every bit of the $15.
I figured we would just work something out on the next deal or something. No big deal to me.
Today I recieve a package from Rich. Containing this note:

And This absolutely gorgeous 72 SportingNews book featuring my Childhood Hero Roger Staubach!

SO again Thank You Rich for reminding me that the hobby will always be strong as long as there are Quality class act people envolved in it such as YOU!
I'll even up with ya on the flip side.... Until then
Take Care and have a Merry Christmas!
John

Later, Paul.
I have not purchased from him all that much in the last few years but I believe I have a number of times over
the last 10 years. maybe more. Don't know why that is as he always has nice cards. You can count on 100% professionalism.
He was a 5 star seller long before ebay had to invent that to get sellers to act more professionally.
btw nice piece. Loved Roger also.
