Has any pitcher (at any level) pitched a SUPER perfect game (struck out every batter)?

EstilEstil Posts: 7,058 ✭✭✭✭
Okay, everyone here knows what a perfect game in baseball is (pitcher pitches a complete game without letting anyone get on base--27 up, 27 down). But after seeing the movie The Scout and seeing the protagonist in the end literally win Game 1 of the World Series by himself (not only striking out every batter, but on 81 pitches and even hitting two solo home runs despite being in Yankee Stadium and having the DH rule), I was just curious. Now obviously no one in MLB history has even come close (there's only been three 20 K games I don't they were even close to being a no-hitter), but how about at the minor league, college, high school, shoot even youth leagues? Has there ever been a pitcher in any level of organized baseball (though preferably at least HS level) who not only pitched a perfect game, but struck out ever batter?

Here's one that's close in professional ball. A no-hitter with 27 strikeouts. There was a ground out-one K victim reached on a passed ball. There were 4 baserunners in all.

back when I was umpiring.....I did umpire a game in little league where the pitcher did strike out all the batters.
He was absolutely overpowering. 12 years old. kid had a fastball with control. great mechanics.
    Someone had taught him well.

A girl did it in Little League (against all boys) a few years ago. link But, they only play 6 innings. It's probably been done quite a few times in LL. I don't know about other levels.

Girl Pitches Perfect Little League Game
    Thu May 19, 2005

Katie Brownell is in a Little League all her own. The 11-year-old — the only girl playing in the Oakfield-Alabama Little League program — pitched a perfect game Saturday for her Dodgers. She struck out all 18 batters she faced in the six-inning, 11-0 victory over the Yankees.

Oakfield-Alabama officials said they can't remember anybody ever throwing a perfect game in this western New York league between Buffalo and Rochester.

In two games on the mound, Katie has struck out 32 of 33 batters. And she's hitting .714 through the team's first three games.

"She's been pitching for three years, but she really came on and excelled this year," said team manager Jeff Sage.

Katie was almost pulled out of Saturday's game until the scorekeeper reminded her coach she had a no-hitter going. Katie then kept mowing down the opposition and when the last batter was fanned, the crowd erupted.

    "Everybody congratulated me," she said.

  • as a 12 year old in LL, I struck out 17 of 19 batters I faced. 2nd guy up got a bloop single just over the 2nd basemen head and the only other ball put in play was a grounder to to the 2nd baseman.....I was in a zone that I'll never forget.

Profesionally one pithcher came close on May 13 1952 by the name of Ray Neccai who was pitching in Class D Bristol in the Appalation League. He struck out 27 batters in pithching a no hitter however 4 batters reached base one on a walk, error, hit by pitch and passed ball. The next game he struck out 24.In all he struck out 109 batter in 43 innings before being purchased as a 19 year old by the terrible then Pittsburg Pirates where he posted a 1W 6L season with an ERA of 7+.He later blew his arm out and qiut baseball around 1955.

Kerry Wood's 20K was a 1-hitter. Many feel the one hit should have been an error, making it a no-hitter. I believe no ball left the infield the entire game.

Here's Cy Young winner Clayton Kershaw striking out every batter in a HS game as a senior in 2006...but because of the ten run rule he wasn't quite able to finish (in HS games are only seven innings).

Harvey Haddix pitched 12 perfect innings in a MLB game game only to lose in the 13th. The most perfect imperfect game in MLB history.

I remember reading this having involved Eddie Mathews, who put down a bunt to advance Felix Mantilla to 2nd in the 13th.

Would you believe two guys in just one week matched Nolan Ryan's 1964 record of 21 K's in a seven inning HS game? I can't tell one way or the other though whether it was a super perfect game (perfect game where every batter struck out) though.
