Topps Lineage Round 2: Archives is back

Looks like in 2012, Topps is opting to name their flashback set Archives rather than Lineage. My initial thoughts:

1. Less content--now there are only two guaranteed autos, no guaranteed relics
2. Changing the name to Archives will try to make people think this is as good as the originals in 2001 and 2002. Will it be as good as the early 2000s or as bad as 2011 remains to be seen.
3. Interesting buyback ideas and prize cards--there will be stamped buybacks, redemption cards for buyback cards, sets and packs, and 20 prize cards that include redemptions for an uncut half proof sheet from 1968 Topps Baseball with a Nolan Ryan rookie card, a 1971 Topps Baseball uncut sheet and an original Topps contract with Mickey Mantle for the 1985 Woolworth set.

I agree. It actually looks pretty cool for a modern set, and I'd rather e guaranteed the auto hits than a relic.

Wonder if they are going to use the current ultra-thin stock and lame card backs like lineage. I think they might figure out a way to mess this up.

Good to see they are bringing back the 1983 Minis, I loved those (???)

I'm not that familar with the Archive sets in the past, hopefully they have the look and feel of the originals.

I was excited about the Lineage set, until I opened a couple of boxes, I lost interest very quickly, and thought I wasted my money.
