Help Request: Identifying 5 foreign coins

I received a large lot of foreign coins from a fellow recently and was able to identify all but five of them using several internet resources including http://en.numista.com/catalogue/pays.php which I found to be fantastic...

Hoping that you can help me to identify these last five:

Coin #1

    1913 50 Kopeks, Russian.
  • 1. 2. and 4. are Japanese coin 3 is Chinese. I agree with Hyperion about the last one being russian.
I will try and get you more info (dates and such) soon.
  • I haven't played with these coins in a while so I hope the info I give you is accurate.
    Coin 1 is a 10 yen from 1952.
    Coin 2 is a 5 Yen from 1977.
Coin 3 is a cash from the Peking mint Kung-Pu Board of Public Works. I am not sure of date.
    Coin 4 is a 50 Yen from 1955.
    I hope that helps.

In case you get interested in Japanese coins this is a nice explanation of the dating: Linkage.

The 1950s era are interesting--the 10 yen reeded and the lettering on the 5 yen a little more artistic rather than block ('kaisho' lettering).

  • Ok, based on the fact that coin #5 was identified as Russian and the fact that it has "50" on it and 1913, I was able to identify it:

    1913 50 Kopeks - Nicholas II, 90% Silver, 10 grams

    Thanks everyone!
