Check out these rattlers!
I sold this coin a while ago.

I was on Ebay recently and came across this auction Check the slab number, and check the orientation of the coin.

and then this one as well!

Were the graders feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed and up to some sorts of shenanigans the day these were graded?
Or, is there a more logical explanation?
What is your take on this?

Yesterday I was looking up some auction archives on a Bust Dime I won.
Low and behold I found 3 other coins in similar grades that were from that same NGC submission!
The NGC submission numbers weren't sequential for those auctioned coins, but a couple were only
1 or 2 numbers out of order! So that was pretty cool, and very similarly relevant to what you are
now posting.
It could be that these Lincoln's were all in the same box and subsequently all tilted to the same
angle from storage and handling?

Yup. Just tap the corner on a table and rotate the coin back. Nothing new and not a big deal.

Right, what I found odd was the orientation of the three coins and that nobody ever straightened them out. And, all pcgs holders allow the coin to rotate

Actually one of my CC dollars in a rattler used to not rattle at all...until I dropped the slab on hardwood floor.
Now it rattles around in the holder perfectly fine!

Thanks Stone, that sounds about right.

They just move around, that's all.
Funny how the same seller, with two rattlers of the same year, mint, and grade...and with pictures that say nothing, offers one at $90 and the other at $250.
