1955 Topps set is complete!

My '55 set is done, finally found a nice Snider PSA 6 that finished the job! Here she is. Centering isn't great, but the card looks nice in hand and it was in my price range

I started this back in 1995 with the purchase of a nice '55 Mays at a card shop in Orange County (CA), that I eventually had graded a PSA 7 in 1999. I also had a Koufax, Banks, and Killebrew, cards that I have since upgraded. On January 24th of this year, I started my quest to complete the set, buying a Kaline 7 from dslsports on EBAY. Almost 11 months later, I'm proud to say the deed is done.
You'll find my set right around #33 on the list. Some stats:
< PSA 6: 6
PSA 6-6.5: 77
PSA 7: 118
PSA 8: 5
Cards that ended up in my set:
Total cards bought on EBAY: 186
Raw cards bought on EBAY: 53
Raw cards graded by me: 65 ( 88 raws graded that didn't end up in the set, a total of 153 graded this year)
Thanks to all of the board members that I bought cards from, and to those that gave me opinions on cards and advice during the year. 2012... on to the 56's!!

Congrats on finishing the set. Always a nice thrill to get that last card. Time for you to build that display case as I showed you in the past !! Can be done in a weekend with materials on hand and perhaps a helper. You will be amazed at how your cards will really pop when displayed all at once. If you do it, make sure you pick a north facing wall so the sun won't be an issue to fade your cards. Quick point...15 cards across, times 14 rows = 210. How convenient !! Then find the 4 cards not issued to really super-pop your set...Ford, Musial, Feller and Score. PM if you need any additional info if you decide to build the case.
Sold my "big" 55 Topps set...it was 14th on the Registry. I am now 4 cards short of yet another 55 Topps set, all PSA 7s. The cards I need always come up, it's just a function of how much I'm willing to pay.
Happy Holidays to you and yours.
