Project Coin.....what to do after cleaning?

Okay, I took a common Wheat Cent that had some crust on it and wiped it clean with a cloth. There are some hairlines on it, otherwise looks okay. was an bout VF.

.....now what could I do as a project to help it look more "original" again? (carry in pocket? oil it? something else?) I want to make this fun....and see how good I can do.

I suggest taking "before" photographs if you are going to do this so you can track your results.

Edited to add: "looking more original" is different than "removing some PVC" - stuff to think about.
