the past three months have been both difficult and ultimately rewarding for finding nice raw cards to grade.....a few of these have appeared in other threads prior to now, so i will tie it all up with a nice bow and share a handful of scans with some of my favorite n00bs for my collection.....the F. Robi RC was the topic of discussion several weeks ago and to those who called for a PSA 8, quite frankly, you were right!

i am a condition freek, i admit to that.....just looking for features which i find particularly pleasing in a vintage card.
if i stick to a specific plan, the results seem to be better.
i think the obsessive/compulsive part has diminished somewhat as i've learned how to better accept NOT acquiring similar cards under similar circumstances.
i haven't attended a card show in many, many years.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

that's a very interesting observation....i do remember playing youth baseball and being instructed to choke up on the bat to get the barrel through the zone a little quicker and hit the ball to the opposite field.....both players mentioned were guys i idolized as a kid, but i patterned my defensive game more after Brooksie than anything else.
maybe my coaches were looking at those cards, though. including my Dad.
