Dime struck on a smaller planchet?
I found a 1893 barber dime that apears to be struck on a planchet that is smaller than a dime. It appears to be silver as well. It looks similair to a genuine error coin i once found that was a penny struck on a dime plachet. The problem is, i am not aware of any planchets that are smaller than a dime. Were there foreign coins issued by mint in 1893 that are smaller than the dime, or should i assume that it was post mint samage to somehow remove the outer ring of the dime?

The ony two foreign coins smaller than a dime struck before 1893 were a 1877 Dominican Republic 2-1/2 Centavoes, copper-nickel, 15.5 mm, and an 1881 Colombia 2-1/2 centavoes, copper-nickel, 14.4 mm.
I suspect PMD.
