My daughter returned from Chile

from her semester abroad and brought back some coins for me.
Nice of her to remember my addiction, I mean hobby.

    I hadn't seen that third type, the (100-pesos) before. The 500-peso was a new one on me, too. What a jowly fellow on there.

    So what's the exchange rate? What could one buy with each of these, roughly speaking?

    I asked the same thing and my daughter said that 500 pesos is roughly equal to 1 dollar.

    I wonder if the 500 peso notes circulate freely.
