  • It's truly an amazing piece, but it's not a coin IMO. You don't cast a coin (that's what the Chinese fakes are for image), and then use a router to reed the edges. Regardless it really is a neat piece and I would willingly pay $20 just to be able to touch it.

    Some legitimate circulating coins were produced by casting. Some of the early Roman coins as well as some of the Chinese cash coins were cast.
