Crosby sucks! lol j/k Only the greatest player right now if it weren't for those post concussion symptoms still. His cards are taking a dip, and at the right price can be had. Good for buyers, bad for sellers if they're panicking. I personally do not even own 1 single Crosby card, and I'm glad.
LOL...well, considering all he has done for Canada already in his career...I think he could be injured and unable to ever play again and his cards would be extremely popular. I don't own any either. I think if I ever pulled any, they would be listed FS/FT on the BST immediately!
?? Not a Cup winner but had 2 WJC gold medals, and a gold & silver in the Olympics.
Per game NHL stats were pretty similar, Crosby a bit ahead mostly because of assists. Both had great junior careers and performed well in International competition.
I would think that if it ended now that he would probably be in as it is the Hockey Hall of Fame, not the NHL Hall of Fame.

J.C. Tremblay needs to go in before talking about a 7 year Crosby career. Dude was a 7 time NHL All Star and won 5 Cups before being one of the best players in the WHA at the tail end of his prime. I like Crosby but that's where the argument will be.
Crosby is twice the player Mr. Overrated (Eric Lindros) ever was. I really hope he gets his mojo back because the NHL needs him.
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."
It’s a tough call with me regarding Lindros as “the man”. While he had a very nice career, it was marred by injury after injury.
He played 13 seasons but he averaged only 58 games per season. He missed 24 games for every season he played. That’s roughly 1/3 of every year. And I am not counting the entire year he took off completely due to concussion syndrome. That makes it very difficult for any one to call him a Franchise Player when you can’t depend on him being there for you for the year. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not his fault he played a bruising game.
He never scored 50 goals nor did he ever record more than 68 assists in any season.
He did total 865 points including 372 goals in 13 years. Not the type of statistics that would normally get you into the Hall of Fame by today’s standards. He did win a Hart trophy and was a 6 time all star.
From an intangible side of things, I don’t think anyone would argue that he was a very polarizing player. From his initial refusal to play for the Nordiques (and subsequent forced trade), he found himself in controversy wherever he went (sometimes unfairly). He was literally run out of Philadelphia by Bobby Clarke (they later mended fences).
He will most likely enter into the Hall of Fame but I think it might be more to do with his abilities to ingratiate himself with NHLPA leadership than anything else.
Oh, and his teams never, repeat, never won anything of importance at the NHL level.
On the other hand, Crosby has exceeded all of Lindros professional team and personal goals in roughly 1/3 the time.

TOTALLY DISAGREE.....DID YOU EVER SEE HIM PLAY????? DOMINANT IS THE RIGHT WORD......MUCH MORE DOMINANT THAN A CROSBY.... WHAT ABOUT CAM NEELY??? HE IS IN THE HALL AND HE WASN'T A LINDROS....DID YOU EVER PLAY THE GAME?????....I DID OFF AND ON FOR OVER 25 YEARS..... IF YOU EVER PLAYED THE GAME YOU WOULD UNDERSTAND............chaz
The hype surrounding Lindros was insane, and he never lived up to it. Not even close actually. He never scored 50 goals in a season and managed 100 points just once. And this was during an offensive era when these milestones were achieved routinely by players who will never get any recognition from HOF voters. I also think Lindros was a first-class jerk, but I'm not factoring that into the fact that his career was not HOF worthy. To call him dominant is almost laughable.

I've never understood the direct comparison of Crosby and Lindros. Other than the hype that surrounded them coming into the league originally ...their style of play and approach to the game is nothing alike in my opinion!
Eric and Cam might not have been as good at scoring but they both were awesome to watch. Whenever they were on the ice something was going to happen. Their style of play cut their careers short. Both could have scored more points and extende their careers if it was just about the numbers. They gave much more excitement for the fans per game then Crosby with his cups and stats. Just my opinion.
Working my way to #1 1979 Topps Hockey I know it's going to be tough!
