Slayed My White Whale Today: Autographed 1995 Taco Johns Iowa Barnstormers Kurt Warner RC

This is perhaps my favorite autographed card now and was a white whale of mine. For those that don't know, I am a very big Kurt Warner fan and have the #1 registry set so far. This is one of Kurt's more difficult RCs to find, and I have never seen a signed version until I got this back today:

I also had a pair of his most recognized RC signed, the 1999 Pacific:

Nice pick up. I've been looking for this card to add to my football rookie card collection for a while. I love cards like this that are issued prior to major releases

That is sweet! Got to love an early issue that is super rare and signed to boot. From the scan it looks like the card is in great condition too which is a major bonus.

    Nice work!

Congrats on getting the 95 Warner signed!! What a terrific signature too, I would guess that will be a 1/1 once you get it slabbed.

Don you wouldn't happen to have an xtra 95 Barnstormers card you would be willing to part with would ya? image Or maybe know where I could get one. I have been searching for one for a while now, recently missing out on a PSA 5 on eBay the other month.

Congrats! As a Long time Taco John supporter I remember these cards vividly as the indoor team was a big deal back then since Iowa doesn't have any professional sports. I think the cards went down the toilet just as fast as the Taco Johns I consumed.

On a side note a co-worker of mine worked with him at Hy-Vee back in the early 90's while studying at the University of Northern Iowa.

Hope it came with some Super Potato Ole's!
  • Hey, I have the Kurt Warner Iowa Barnstormers Rookie card from 1995 like the one above, except it's not signed. What is this worth? It's not sealed, but in good condition. I had someone offer me $50 for it. Should I take it? Thanks.

Gilly this is one of my "WHite Whales" and if you would like to sell it please contact me. I have been trying to find one forever now and just a few months ago lost out on one with a heartbreak of a PC Issue. PM or I can PM You with my email or phone number!
  • I'm a Kurt Warner fan to, but i'm not into autographs unless they came in a pack,
so one of my favorite Warners is this play-off that came with-out an auto

Anyone out there have this card they would like to sell or trade? I know this should probably be in the BST Forum, but I wanted to keep it in this thread so people could see the couple posts I made in it. I am currently looking for this card and feel this may be the best place to ask. Please let me know. Thanks!

Keep your eye watching eBay too. You can expect to see 1-2 there per year. I'll be bidding too though. Looking to improve on my current PSA 8. image. The card above graded a PSA 4 due to an impression that runs vertically through the thin-stocked card.

  • I hate to revive a old thread but I have searched high and low on the internet for the value of a Kurt Warner 1995 Iowa Barnstormer rookie card and I cant find anything. My wife gave me one years ago and I had it graded at a PSA 9, it isnt autographed, but still nice.

Ive had thoughts of selling it, maybe here or ebay but I dont have any idea as to what it should go for. Hoping one of you guys can help. Thanks.

    Ron

  • I've seen PSA 10's sell in recent history for around 500-600 so a 9 should fetch 175-225 if I had to guess.

Only one I could find was a "PSA 10" that sold for $373.00 on August 2, 2013.

Here it is - from eBay
