I was picking up a few things today at my LCS and he showed me some large cents he had gotten in recently. One had a huge lump of extra metal hanging off of it .
The main part was a complete correctly struck cent the extra was sort of struck also like the planchet had an extra tongue of metal on it and it got stuck in the machine and when the next coin was struck it picked up a partial impression of a large cent also .
I might have the wrong term I don't know much about errors I don't collect them but I was intrigued by this coin i'm curious what it would be worth. It has a black spot on the reverse thats the only issue I noticed. It looked like an AU coin but grading large cents isn't something I know much about although I know what the G VG F range looks like
