An old coin cabinet comes to light....

...in Passau, Bavaria.

It will be interesting to see the inventory once it's published on the library homepage.

    Where is that drool icon? This story is better than a pot of gold for a collector like me. The article even mentions a possible connection to the prince bishop and church - amazing.

    This is the sole Passau medal in my collection. Given the subject matter (sede vacante after the death of the prince-bishop), it is possible that the cabinet holds an example of this 1761 medal as well. I will look forward to seeing what this treasure chest has to offer.
