I still have all my o27, o and super o gauge lionels my parents bought me when I was a kid. I've got 7 full sets, 5 of them have cast iron engines image Still packed away in boxes from 1969 when my Mom ordered me to do so, finally packing each car, even in the lionel box in newspaper, all dated 1969 when they were packed away.

We lived in the same county where Lionel was headquarteredimage

Thanks for a great trip down memory lane.
I also have the Lionel my dad bought for me in 1954!
I set it up every other year under the Christmas tree and relive the days of yesteryear.
    Happy Holidays.

I really should set up the Lionel Train set for my kid.
  • The memories made as we worked for hours to get the track set up right will never be forgotten.

I remember when pops brought home an engine that put up puffs of smoke as it went around the tracks... My amazement could have charged a battery. Of course my trains were from the late 70s and early 80s.
