Guess what's in the box/should I open it

I think I have an idea what's in here. Mint box from 2000 I believe. Any thoughts on what's in it? Should I bust it open and take a peek?

Found it lurking in a cigar box on the bookshelf in my studio next to a Haynes Jeep CJ manual. It's either 2000 or 2001 something or another. The pencils are a good sizer on the box, maybe 6"x4"x1".

To me, it looks like a gold commem box, but that's a WAG.

ASE in sterling silver money clip. The spot is green->blue->purple from inside to out and I can't get a good shot of that. The clean patch is on the dress/flag under the B/arm.

Ha, yeah. Have to put it in a slab for the 10oz things.

I bought 2 of these back in 2000. Gave 1 to my dad for xmas that year, think he still has it but I'll have to ask next week when we go over.
