I am thinking about buying this coin.
I would really like to know your opinions on what a fair price would be for this coin.

That's the cheaper of the two varieties, no colon after reg on obverse. I would suspect that now these would sell for $350'ish in slabbed 63. With some minor rim dings and a large fingerprint? on the obverse this one would be lower if it was uncirculated. However, I'm not sure it is uncirculated, if you look at Britannias breast and the gown across her hips to me it looks like wear in the images.

I don't think it's Uncirculated at all, let alone "Choice" Uncirculated. Not a bad looking coin, but NOT an UNC, either.

Looks AU-ish to me. And that by the more liberal American standards.

I'll 4th those AU, and keep looking opinions.

Checkout all the upcoming Brit auctions in NY this January to see if any nice unc. examples may be on offer.

I agree, not Unc. You can see rubbing on Britannia's breasts, thigh drapery and a little on Victoria's hair. I would hold out for a nicer one if you are after an Unc example.

Decent AU, but fingerprints detract. You can do better.
